Agnes – TB

29 Dec

Venetian blinds
create the Agnesian impression
Of sophistication.
Who cares about her vista,
Is there a point to it?
She doesn’t listen,
She won’t see,
She isn’t listened to,
No one looks her way.
And why would they?
This is just life.
Better to be a sign that’s passed by
Than a solitary whisper in the wind.

It reminds me of a scene in a book I’ve read – “My name is red”, written by Orhan Pamuk. There is the woman at a window and the man on the street. She has a lot to say and won’t. If she did, he would listen. Such a sad scene in the book. Nice cutout of daily life here. You have an eye for these things. Great write! xo
