The other-ness monster – TB

5 Aug

The other-ness monster
Crept up from behind
And devoured her in one huge, swift gulp.
It took on her appearance,
Though that was all,
And set about showing how different she was.
Look at me at me,
I only drink organic tea.
And with it a slice of turnip cake,
Not chocolate.
Molly and Shepherd’s dress me
In my Bloomer Costume and
I wouldn’t be seen dead without
My Charles Macintosh.
Who are you, do I know you?
If it’s not from the golf club
Or Saint Andrew’s on Ribble Valley Green
Then I’m afraid it’s a
Sorry I don’t.

Otherness… I suspect it grips most people (women at least) at some time in our lives.
