Poetic justice

29 Jul

Poetry is magical. It’s creative. It’s energetic. How then can we talk about poetic justice? We need to think up a new name. Poetic justice, in my view, is all the things poetry isn’t. Poems are innocent thoughts. In a way they’re like children, they bear the same innocence. They may contain an angry tone but still have that playful undertone. Poetry is an ongoing flow of thought, whereas as poetic justice is one sad instance of schadenfreude.
