Today’s storm – TB

27 Jun

Whispering breeze as cold as ice,
a mother opens her mouth and sighs,
Then sings a song with silent hums,
She morns the passing of another life.
The sun has sunk in the western skies,
Conviction has become unfashionable.
Silent hours in the East,
they wait in the murky light
And watch the waves to shore repose.
Last night, moonlight lit the sea.
Like shadows fly, birds depose,
Glancing down on us.

There is a mood of resignation in this poem that I resonate with – when death comes, when life is bleak, one has no choice but to submit. This poem really speaks to me right now.

I saw it as photography and was intrigued by the projection of your verse~
