in the forest – TB

30 Apr

There is trouble in the forest
Because the primeval explorer,
Who entered naively,
Forgot to be considerate.
He trampled the flowers dead and continued to
Rape and to pillage everything in his path.
He now lies in the forest,
With his head against the baobab,
The stars hang over him.
The oil trickles down on his head.
There’s silent reflection
For his adventure has come to an end.

You’ve given us a concentrated dose – brevity really suits this pen. Thanks for contributing to this prompt ~ M

I hope he represents no harm to the baobabs. I love the looks of those trees, you know. Do you think the man in touch with his wild self can be a better man?
