sunrise, sunset – TB

7 Apr

Electric pink bleeds
over a background of blue murder.
She eventually left home to debate
the colour of a sunrise.
She’d spent most of her childhood
sitting on rainbow’s ark.
The wicked storm had forced her
to seek refuge there.
And she always waited for
the sky to turn
a different shade of blue
before the stars lifted her up
to the heavens.

I feel pain in this…at least my inner child feels. There were days in my childhood I wish I could have found a seat in the rainbow….beautiful piece

and she always waited… the tone of this piece and these lines in particular, is sad and yearning.
